NOW HIRING: Part-Time News Reporter
Priority Media – DuBois, PA
Do you know what’s happening in our community, and like being the one to tell everyone else? Priority Media, home of Sunny 106 and Connect FM, is looking for a part-time news reporter to cover Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.
What you’ll do:
Cover local government meetings, school boards, and community events, mostly on weeknights, with a few daytime assignments
Write clear, accurate stories for on-air newscasts, our Facebook pages, and our station websites
Gather quotes and details and turn stories around quickly
Keep an eye out for the stories that matter to our listeners
What we’re looking for:
Strong writing skills and attention to accuracy
Reliability and the ability to meet deadlines
Comfort attending public meetings and talking with local officials and residents
Familiarity with Clearfield and Jefferson Counties is a big plus
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Journalism experience is helpful but not required. We’ll train the right person.
